Guy Ritchie‘s Netflix series The Gentlemen returned with a second season earlier this month, although viewership was down by around 45% in its first week. It is believed that the longer shows take between seasons, the higher the chances are of fans dropping out. The Gentlemen took around two years to return, but Ritchie’s other hit show has a better chance of succeeding purely because it’s coming back within a year of its premiere. The show in question made a splashy debut on Paramount+ in 2025, breaking viewership benchmarks set by Taylor Sheridan‘s platform-defining hit Yellowstone. Awareness for the series didn’t dip even during the off-season, thanks to the many controversies that it found itself embroiled in.
