We are not currently hiring, but we always read speculative applications from reporters whose work we would want to publish.
Pitching as a freelance contributor
We commission freelance reporting and analysis. A good pitch is three short paragraphs: what the story is, why it matters now, and what you can get that nobody else has.
- Send pitches to thientranvnm@gmail.com with “Pitch” in the subject line.
- Include two examples of published work.
- Tell us about any relationship you have with the people or companies in the story. We will still commission it; we just need to know.
We pay [rate or “on publication at rates agreed before commissioning”]. We do not publish unpaid contributions from professional writers.
What we do not accept
We do not publish guest posts, sponsored articles disguised as reporting, or anything written to place a link. Submissions of that kind are deleted unread.
