We get things wrong sometimes. What matters is what happens next.
Report an error
Email thientranvnm@gmail.com with the headline and the specific claim you are disputing. If you can point to the source that shows we are wrong, that speeds everything up. We aim to respond the same working day.
What we do
- Correction. A factual error that changes the meaning of a story is corrected in the text, and a dated note at the foot of the article says what was wrong and what it now says.
- Clarification. Where a story was accurate but open to being misread, we add a note explaining the point.
- Update. Where events have moved on, we add dated updates rather than silently rewriting the original.
- Removal. We remove articles only where there is a legal requirement or a genuine risk to someone’s safety. Removal on request is not something we offer, and neither is deleting a correction.
What we do not do
We do not fix errors quietly. A story that has been corrected says so, permanently. Typographical fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note.
Headlines and social posts
If an error appeared in a headline or a social media post, the correction is published in the same place, not only in the article.
