Netflix has a penchant for reviving beloved franchises. Recently, the streamer brought the children’s novels of Laura Ingalls Wilder back to life, as the new Western series Little House on the Prairie became an instant streaming hit. Not to be confused with the original series that ran between 1974 and 1983, this adaptation of the original novels was a fresh retelling that earned plenty of praise from critics, even being called a “masterpiece” in Maggie Lovitt‘s review for Collider.
