‘The Pitt’ Officially Crowned Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmy Awards

2026 has been a stellar year for TV, especially drama shows, and the most prestigious of them all was officially awarded tonight with the honor of a lifetime. There are more than enough streaming options for fans of all genres nowadays, but when it came time to give out the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series this year, the two platforms that had the most nominations were HBO Max and Apple TV. For HBO Max, its three most successful shows of the year were The Gilded Age, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and The Pitt. All three shows have new seasons on the way, and the Game of Thrones spin-off, which is a personal favorite of author George R.R. Martin, is expected to return as early as next year.
