‘North by Northwest’ Meets ‘Clue’ in a 1963 Mystery Officially Streaming for Free

With Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affairlined up as one of 2027’s most-anticipated new movies, and with Richard Linklater’s Hit Man having earned rave reviews a few years ago, there seems to be an appetite for caper films. However, the industry doesn’t seem to be making very many of them. Hit Man being released on Netflix certainly impacted its cultural footprint, while the verdict on The Thomas Crown Affair — a movie that coincidentally also stars Adria Arjona — is still several months away. It’s unclear if Hollywood wants to revisit caper films just yet — the less said about Mortdecai, the better — but fans will always have the opportunity to return to one of the classics of the genre, which just became easier to access.
