2026 has been a banner year for Game of Thrones fans, who have been treated to a pair of spin-off shows with even more content on the way next year. The first Thrones series to win the hearts of viewers around the world was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which was even nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. Production on Season 2 has already wrapped, and the show is expected to return to streaming in the second half of 2026. The second Game of Thrones spin-off show to air over the summer was the third season of House of the Dragon. After a divisive second season, HBO mostly won fans back with the third season, but writer/showrunner Ryan J. Condal has only one season left to stick the landing — Season 4 is already confirmed to be the final season of the show.
