Matthew McConaughey’s ‘Yellowstone’ Replacement Officially Debuts on Streaming

Matthew McConaughey has long been linked to a Yellowstone-style spin-off project helmed by Taylor Sheridan, but nothing has been confirmed even after years of talks. However, this isn’t going to stop McConaughey from testing the waters with a crime-infused neo-Western of his own. The Oscar-winner made a long-awaited return to the big screen with this movie a few weeks ago, and now it’s available to watch on the PVOD market. The film’s low-key theatrical release wasn’t as robust as anyone involved would have liked, but thanks to excellent reviews, the film is primed for home-video success. It helps that McConaughey has a major Apple TV streaming series lined up for release at around the same time, which means that Apple’s financial backing is also working in its favor.
