‘The Witcher’ Officially Returns With New Geralt Release

The Witcher fans have a lot to be excited about in the next few years between the hit Netflix TV show and the next installment in the Game of the Year-winning fantasy franchise. It was previously thought that the fifth and final season of The Witcher would premiere before the end of 2026, but it was confirmed earlier in the summer that the final batch of episodes would not arrive until 2027. This will hold fans over until one of the most anticipated game launches in history with The Witcher 4, which will see Ciri take center stage, taking over the role as the titular hero from Geralt of Rivia. CD Projekt Red announced earlier this year that The Witcher 4 is targeting a 2028 release window — this is disappointing, but not all that surprising.
