There is a particular kind of horror movie that makes people slightly annoying afterward. You start defending a sound cue. You insist the camera holding on an empty doorway for three extra seconds is important. Somebody says the movie was “pretty good” and suddenly you are explaining why the dinner scene, the goat, the teacup, or one horrible shape hiding near a ceiling has been living rent-free in your head for years. That level of attachment usually means the movie got almost everything right.
