Marvel’s New Rogue Officially Joins Sydney Sweeney and Brie Larson’s Breakout Club

Navarrette starred in this year’s smash horror film from director Curry Barker and played Nikki, a young woman whose friend Bear (Michael Johnston) traps her in a horrible curse when he makes a wish that she’d love him more than anyone else on earth. Having to play Nikki as both a fully functional adult woman and the possessed version that Bear wishes into his life, Navarrette proved herself to be one of the new young talents to look out for. It helped her gain enough recognition to already head to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the X-Men’s Rogue. Now, Collider is thrilled to exclusively reveal that she’s taken home the “Breakout” STARmeter Award for her work at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
