‘Lanterns’ Star’s ‘Reacher’-Like Crime Thriller Is Officially Taking Over the World

2026 is the year of Aaron Pierre, and he’s only set to blossom into an even bigger star as the years go along. Pierre made his DCU debut a few weeks ago in the HBO original series, Lanterns, where he stars as John Stewart opposite Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan. Pierre has already secured his DCU future, too — it’s been confirmed that he will reprise his role as John Stewart in the 2027 Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, which was written and directed by James Gunn. Pierre will also team up with Gabriel Basso and Margaret Qualley for the new Prime Video romance movie, Love of Your Life, which is coming to theaters on October 7 before it begins streaming on October 14. He was even set to have a role in Blade before backing out of the project, which has since been canceled.
