2026 has been the year of Jon Bernthal so far, and he’s done way more than just add over $3 billion to his career box office total thanks to his roles in The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Bernthal also took his talents to big TV shows like His & Hers (co-starring Tessa Thompson) and The Bear (co-starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach), but he didn’t return as Punisher in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. However, that may be because he was too busy starring in his first solo MCU Punisher project, The Punisher: One Last Kill. Rumors indicate that Marvel is interested in bringing back Bernthal for more Punisher projects, which isn’t all that surprising after the overwhelmingly positive response to his role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Only time will tell how he’ll be used, though.
