HBO Boss Officially Teases the Future of DC

Superheroes remain one of the most appealing characters in the movie industry, as evidenced by the box office success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. A Marvel Studios production, the studio is well-versed in such successful ventures, and a similar feat was the goal when the decision was made to see James Gunn and Peter Safran take the helm ofDC Studios.Gunn and Safran put together a plan, and Chapter One: Gods and Monsters was envisioned with Superman (starring David Corenswet), which premiered in July 2025, kicking things off. Since then, Supergirl (starring Milly Alcock), which premiered in June 2026, albeit to a rather disappointing showing at the box office, as well as Creature Commandos in 2024 and Peacemaker Season 2 in 2025, have all premiered.
