Forget ‘Fast & Furious,’ Jason Statham’s Spin-Off Is Officially a Streaming Smash

Having witnessed the streaming success of two movies this year — Shelter and Mutiny — Jason Statham has scored a hat-trick. Shelter and Mutiny both underperformed in theaters before redeeming themselves on streaming. Released in January, Shelter grossed around $13 million domestically, while Mutiny, which was released in August, grossed approximately $16 million in its domestic box-office run. Both films cost around $50 million to produce and received mixed reviews. According to FlixPatrol, Shelter is currently among the most-watched titles on the domestic Starz chart, while Mutiny is reigning over the Prime Video rankings. Now, a third film in which Statham played the titular character is spiking on Hulu.
