Damon Lindelof made his return to television this year as the co-creator of DC’s Lanterns, and so far, it’s been a rousing success. The ambitious Green Lantern series that sees intergalactic law enforcers Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) investigating a murder on Earth in True Detective fashion has won over both critics and audiences so far, thanks to the chemistry of the two Lanterns themselves and a twisty narrative showing this to be a much wider, more dangerous mystery than once believed. However, after the finale wraps up, he’ll be right back to working with HBO for his next big project, The Chain. The network ordered the series back in January, with Lindelof aiming to “expand the mythology” of the New York Times bestselling thriller novel it’s based on by Adrian McKinty.
