Claire Danes’ ‘Homeland’ Replacement Officially Renewed for Season 2

It used to be that a miniseries was exactly what it sounded like. Once it was done, it was over with, with the possibility for a sequel. Recently, however, a successful miniseries may find itself becoming an ongoing series…although that usually happens after it’s already picked up some Emmys for Outstanding Limited Series. It’s happened in recent years with FX’s acclaimed Shogun, and now with HBO’s hit crime thriller Task. And now, one of Netflix’s most acclaimed minis of last year is getting a second season.
