Chris Pratt’s $200M Sci-Fi Epic Is Officially a Prime Video Hit Ahead of Its Sequel

2026 has been a roller-coaster of a year for Chris Pratt, who starred in one of the first big box office bombs of the year with Mercy. Pratt teamed up with Rebecca Ferguson for the AI sci-fi thriller, and although it underperformed at the box office, it did go on to become one of the most-watched movies of the year on Prime Video. Pratt swiftly found box office redemption with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which was also the first feature film of 2026 to hit $1 billion at the global box office. He’s sticking to streaming projects in the second half of this year, as he returns to his role as James Reece in the second season of The Terminal List on Prime Video. He’s also starring in Way of the Warrior Kid on Apple TV.
