Kevin Costner’s ‘Yellowstone’ Replacement Officially Rides Onto HBO Max

Kevin Costner is an Oscar-winning filmmaker, but in recent years, it’s his role as John Dutton in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstonethat has defined his career. Costner starred in all five seasons of the sweeping Western epic, but after a rift formed between him and Sheridan in the final stages of the show, he’s not expected to be involved in anything else Yellowstone-related going forward. Costner hasn’t been as busy in recent years now that he’s left Yellowstone behind, but if you take a look at his resume leading up to his debut on Dutton Ranch, it’s easy to see why he was the perfect person to lead the biggest Western TV show of all time. Costner has some epic roles under his belt, but they didn’t all pan out like he hoped they would.
