Iconic Spider-Man Character Officially Joins the X-Men

2026 has been a huge year for Spider-Man fans after the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. After the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home back in 2021, it’s fair to say that expectations were high for Tom Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man movie, but no one could have predicted the success it’s had so far. At the time of writing, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has grossed a whopping $2.4 billion at the global box office, which is enough to make it one of the top 10 highest-grossing movies of all time. Both Holland and Jon Bernthal, who also star in Christopher Nolan’s new historical epic The Odyssey, have added over $4 billion to their box office total this year from both films — The Odyssey currently sits at a box office total of $1.6 billion.
