The fourth season of Reacher passed the baton to the spin-off series Neagley a few days ago, expanding the franchise after years of build-up. Based on the novels of Lee Child, Reacher and Neagley hold the unique distinction of being both critically acclaimed and viewership juggernauts. Reacher has a remarkable 95% overall score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, putting it in the same category as highly decorated contemporary titles Slow Horses and Severance. Reacher, however, has an edge over them because it also emerges as the most popular show in the world during its annual return. Season 4 was no different, and with Nielsen now reporting streaming viewership data after a shorter two-week delay, a clear picture of its success is being painted.
