Jack Reacher is such a hysterically enormous man that it’s easy to forget he’s also a really smart fella. Although, admittedly, being enormous doesn’t hurt when you’re casting him. Prime Video’s Reacher finally gave fans a version of Lee Child‘s wandering hero who plausibly looks like he could snap your spine with two fingers in the shape of Alan Ritchson, but now Child has admitted that Ritchson is just as in touch with the cerebral side of Reacher as the physical. Child believes Ritchson has put serious work into understanding the smaller details of the character, too.
