Over the years, several shows with huge potential have had to wait to be discovered by larger audiences on Netflix. Breaking Bad was famously struggling until it found mainstream success on the streamer, which AMC used to divert viewers back to the source for later seasons. More recently, the TNT sci-fi series The Last Ship has found considerable success on Netflix, eight years after its final season. The same cannot be said for another TNT title that was added to Netflix around the same time — the far more acclaimed cop drama Southland, which remains a cult favorite. Now, a mega-budget title designed as a platform-defining tentpole for Paramount+ is on its last legs on Netflix.
