The name Nicola Coughlan might initially conjure images of Lady Whistledown (voiced by Dame Julie Andrews), who hides in plain sight as the beloved Penelope Featherington in the Regency-set smash-hit series Bridgerton. But two years after Big Mood first arrived, the British comedy has become an even stronger showcase for just how different Coughlan can be outside the Ton. The series returned for a second season in April 2026 after its first outing became Channel 4 streaming’s highest new comedy launch since Derry Girls. Season 2 picks up nearly a year after Maggie and Eddie’s friendship fell apart, with Maggie working hard to maintain her stability just as Eddie suddenly comes back into her life.
