Citi Raises AMD Stock Price Target, Cites Meta Muse Release
Citi analyst Atif Malik raises AMD's price target to $800 from $575, citing the launch of Meta Muse and surging demand for CPU power in the growing era of agentic artificial intelligence.
Atif Malik of Citi has increased AMD’s price target to $800 from $575. Malik anticipates that the introduction of Meta Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, will drive up sales of AMD chips. According to the analyst, “Following the release of Meta Muse and our subsequent CPU TAM raise, we are raising estimates on AMD given our belief that AMD will be the primary beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and our belief that Meta is one of the largest customers of AMD’s server business.“
Can Meta Muse Deliver On Citi’s Stock Price Target For AMD?
Citi views AMD as a central figure in the era of agentic AI. In contrast to generative AI, which relies heavily on Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) capabilities, agentic AI depends to a greater extent on Central Processing Unit (CPU) power.
Malik projects that AMD’s CPU total addressable market (TAM) will expand from $29 billion in 2025 to $300 billion by 2030, marking a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 60%. As Malik notes, “We still expect AMD to be the key beneficiary of the CPU renaissance and Intel as a secondary beneficiary.“
Throughout the artificial intelligence boom, AMD has emerged as a top-performing stock, consistently surpassing Wall Street’s revenue forecasts. The firm posted a year-over-year revenue jump of nearly 50% to $11.5 billion, topping analyst projections of roughly $11.34 billion. This trajectory is expected to persist as demand for data centers and AI chips climbs.

Furthermore, AMD announced its $8.2 billion acquisition of World Labs, a prominent AI model lab. This deal could bolster Wall Street’s outlook for the company’s valuation. On October 5th, 2026, the stock reached a record high of $658.52, following AMD’s market capitalization crossing the $1 trillion threshold in late September, placing it among a select group of global firms.
