Microsoft stock (NASDAQ: MSFT) moved past the $500 threshold this week, opening Tuesday’s session at $509. The technology giant has gained close to 7.7% since the start of the year and is now eyeing the $550 mark. Most Wall Street analysts currently rate MSFT as a buy, encouraging institutional clients to establish initial positions. This bullish consensus surged last month when the stock was fluctuating between $480 and $490.
Following the stock’s move above $500, analysts across Wall Street have raised their price targets while reaffirming their existing ratings. Prominent global investment firm JP Morgan has kept its buy rating on MSFT intact, advising institutional clients to start accumulating shares. Their latest forecast suggests that Microsoft will not only clear the $550 barrier but could also push past the $600 threshold.

Microsoft Stock Price Prediction From JP Morgan
JP Morgan Senior Equity Research Analyst Samik Chatterjee reiterated his buy rating on Microsoft, setting a price target of $625. This projection represents potential gains of about $115 per share for investors entering the market at the current price. It also translates to an estimated return on investment (ROI) of roughly 20% compared to the present $509 valuation. Consequently, a $1,000 investment could grow to $1,200 if this target is achieved.
This outlook ranks among the highest bullish forecasts issued for Microsoft shares by Wall Street firms. Previously, RBC Capital issued the loftiest target at $640, pointing to strong momentum for Copilot. Overall, a large contingent of institutional heavyweights maintains a positive outlook on the software leader. As competition in the artificial intelligence sector intensifies, the company continues to advance global investments, pulling in $5.4 billion in annual revenue from M365 Copilot subscriptions while offering an entry-level tier priced at $30 per month.
