Elon Musk has always been very vocal about his admiration for the cryptocurrency industry. The tech billionaire has enabled crypto payments for multiple of his ventures. Musk recently stated, “I think that cryptocurrency is an interesting and probably valuable bulwark against centralized control.“
Given his love for crypto, let’s look at the top three crypto assets that the world’s richest man owns.

Elon Musk’s Top Crypto Holdings: A Closer Look
1. Dogecoin (DOGE)

Musk has repeatedly stated that DOGE is his favorite cryptocurrency and that he owns a “bunch of Dogecoin.” Musk says he loves the project’s non-serious nature and has enabled DOGE payments for Tesla merchandise. The company may begin to accept DOGE for its vehicles in the future, for which Musk stated, “At some point, I think we should enable that.“

The tech mogul has also undertaken a satellite launch project with his SpaceX division, paid for using the meme cryptocurrency.
Musk also desires to open a Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.) if Donald Trump wins the upcoming US Presidential Elections.
2. Bitcoin (BTC)

According to Arkham, Tesla has about $778 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC), the original cryptocurrency, making it a BTC whale. The company recently moved its entire BTC holding from its public wallet, causing quite a stir in the market.
Tesla had also accepted Bitcoin (BTC) as a form of payment for its vehicles, but the service was shut after a few months.
Despite Tesla owning $778 million worth of BTC, Musk once said he owns only 0.25 BTC.
3. Ethereum (ETH)
Musk has said he owns three cryptocurrencies: Ethereum (ETH). At the B Word conference, Musk publicly stated that he also owned ETH, in addition to DOGE and BTC. His comments led to ETH’s rise by 12%.

While he has publicly admitted to owning ETH, it is unclear how much of the cryptocurrency Musk holds now.
