The Harris campaign raised over $1.09 billion in donations but had only $118 million left in October last month. Spending went out of control with high-profile events, leading to a debt of $20 million before the election.

According to a report from The New York Times, the Harris campaign spent āsix figuresā flying banners over the NFL games in October. The plan was to reach out to the male voters in swing states who could play a crucial role at the polls. Another report from The Guardian states that Kamala Harris also spent āa reported $450,000 a dayā to display ads at the Las Vegas Sphere in Nevada, a swing state.
